Advanced Reserve Solutions of New England (ARS NE) is a regional division of Advanced Reserve Solutions, Inc., a leading reserve study consulting and software firm trusted by financially responsible community associations nationwide. ARS has delivered expert reserve planning services in New England for nearly 15 years, providing long-term capital planning that protects property values, supports prudent budgeting, and minimizes unexpected special assessments.
ARS NE specializes in comprehensive reserve studies, financial analysis, and capital planning for condominiums, homeowners associations (HOAs), cooperatives, and mixed-use properties throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Our work combines detailed physical component evaluation with robust financial forecasting to produce reserve budgets and timetables that align with industry best practices and governing document requirements.
Since 2017, Paul Huijing, P.E. has led the New England office, bringing over 30 years of engineering, construction, and reserve planning experience. Paul is a licensed professional engineer and general contractor, with deep involvement in community association education, construction dispute mediation, and technical guidance for capital planning.
In 2024, Thor Bernacki and Jared Coggins, AMS became partners with Paul, further strengthening ARS NE’s regional leadership and technical depth. Each brings an eclectic professional background that enhances and synergizes with reserve study consulting. Jared entered the community association industry in 2019 and founded and operated a Connecticut-based property management company specializing in community association management and construction oversight. After exiting that firm, he transitioned fully into reserve studies, contributing first-hand operational, budgeting, and capital project experience.
Thor Bernacki brings a diverse technical and financial background, including prior ownership of a mortgage company, licensure as an electrician with experience on major electrical facilities and power plants, and more than a decade in real estate inspections and reporting. His inspection practice incorporated advanced drone technology as a licensed commercial drone pilot, providing elevated access, documentation, and condition assessment capabilities that directly support reserve study accuracy.
ARS NE specializes in component-level analysis, regionally calibrated cost modeling, and realistic useful life assumptions informed by local construction practices and climate exposure. As part of the national ARS organization, ARS NE delivers reserve studies that are accurate, defensible, and actionable.
“Working with Paul made the reserve study process easy. The format of the report was clear and understandable for board members.”
